Reports on the first domestic preparatory workshops

Kokushikan University | Japan

The first domestic event was held at Kokushikan University from 2:40 p.m to 4:10 p.m. on November 2, 2020. Six participants in the Training Course in Tokyo including one in online and five staff of Kokushikan University attended the meeting. Participants; Yumi Adachi, Hideyuki Aoyagi, Ryosuke Baba, Yuka Miyashita, Futa Nagayoshi and Risa Tanaka, and staff; Shigeki Akiba, Junji Hosogoe, Yuya Maki, Takuma Ohira and Junko Tahara.

The agenda was as follows: 1) opening, 2) self-introduction, 3) aim and outline of the project, 4) current international situation around COVID-19 and tips for a successful international exchange, 5) ScoreAll 17 Manual, 6) Q & A and discussion on expectations and contribution to the Training Course in Tokyo among participants, 7) task on record a short video, 8) photo session, and 9) closing.

In this meeting, all participants of the Training Course in Tokyo and staff met together for the first time. It was a good opportunity for participants to get to know each other, share their expectations, thoughts and to increase their motivation to the Training Course.

As “ScoreAll 17 Manual” contains very rich in content and excellent, we decided to create a Japanese version and will utilize it for participants to understand the contents adequately as well as English one. This could make use of a wide variety of interests in SDGs through sport in and out of our university in Japan.

Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee | SENEGAL

As part of the Sport for Sustainable Development Project in which the Senegalese National Olympic and Sports Committee is engaged with European and Asian partners, a local coordination meeting was organized on October 30, 2020 by the core team with the six participants who are going to attend the international training course scheduled for March 2021 in Japan.

The purpose of this meeting was to:

– Make presentations between participants;
– Introduce the Manual and website to Participants;
– Discuss about participants’ expectations in relation to the course;
– Divers questions.

After the presentations made during the meeting, the participants magnified the clarity of the presentation and it was asked what would happen to the implementation of the projects following the training course if the COVID still there.

Participants were recommended to start thinking and writing their projects by associating them with the sustainable development goals and also to make a 1mn video to talk about their expectations.

Another meeting was also held on November 20 to review their expectations in relation to the training course and answer any questions relating to the tools made available in this project such as the manual and the website.

Were present at these meetings Mrs. Cécile FAYE, Mrs. Fanta DIALLO, Mr. Babacar Djileh DIENG and the six participants Mrs. Samantha GREBONGO, Mrs. Leyla SONKO, Mrs. Aichatou DIOP, Mr. Jacques BASSENE, Mr. Omar Batama DIATTA, Mr. Ismael SROUR .
